Algae Harvesting USV
5.2 m combined harvesting and dewatering USV: 3.0 m harvest head with screw-press dewatering, ≥20 t/h throughput, reducing volume as it harvests and cutting transfer trips by more than half.
Overview
For emergency response and routine harvesting of cyanobacterial blooms in lakes, reservoirs, drinking-water source areas and urban landscape waters. A 3.0 m harvest head with screw-press dewatering processes ≥20 tonnes of algae-laden water per hour, and it dewaters as it harvests — a detail that decides the whole cost case: undewatered algal water is over 99% water, so hauling a truckload means hauling a truckload of water, and transfer plus downstream disposal costs become almost indefensible.
After dewatering, the sludge moisture content falls sharply, so the same haulage capacity covers more than twice as much material and the load on downstream harmless-disposal processes drops with it. The twin-hull vessel tolerates Beaufort 3 and works continuously on lakes and source waters; a two-person control cabin allows a manned mode in poor weather.
Autonomous routes and manual takeover coexist: open water with a stable bloom is worked along preset lines, while outbreak zones and netted enclosures are worked manually and intensively. Optional algae-water separation and dosing modules connect to downstream resource-recovery routes such as fertiliser, biogas or biochar.
The vessel is designed to drinking-water source requirements: enclosed machinery space, anti-overflow collection tank and oil collection tray reduce the risk of fuel leakage and algae backflow. Inspection records and harvest-volume ledgers are provided, ready for the reporting requirements of basin authorities.
What is included
- 3.0 m harvest head with screw-press dewatering: ≥20 t/h, reducing volume while harvesting

- Twin hull for Beaufort 3 with a two-person control cabin and a manned mode in poor weather
- Autonomous routes plus manual intensive working in outbreak zones
- Source-water-ready design: enclosed machinery space, anti-overflow tank, oil tray
- harvest ledgers
